The OBIA, Inc. College Scholarship

The Oliver Beach Improvement Association, Inc. is offering a $1,000.00 college scholarship to high school seniors who reside in the Oliver Beach community. (To be considered for this scholarship, the student’s family must be a current member of OBIA.)

Guidelines and General Information:

• The scholarship can be used at any college or career school for tuition, books or other college fees. 

• This scholarship is available to one qualified student.

• Application deadline is April 19, 2024

• The scholarship is reserved for applicants who will attend any college or career school in the fall of 2024 as a full-time student.

To be considered for this $1000.00 Oliver Beach Improvement Association Inc. College Scholarship, the following must be provided:

• Completed OBIA Inc. Scholarship Application

• Mail the following documents to PO Box 57 Chase, MD 21027

  • Academic high school transcripts with cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater

  • One confidential letter of reference from an adult (excluding relatives)

Essay Rules

• 1-2 page explanation

• Size 12 Times New Roman font

• Double Spaced

• Grammatically Correct

• The following topics must be included in the essay:

  • Career plan with status of application to college or trade school.

  • Extra-curricular activities at school or in the community

  • Community service details.

  • How has living in the Oliver Beach community influenced your future career goals?
